Eat 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil a Day and THIS Will Happen to Your Thyroid

Coconut oil has many health benefits that are well-documented. However, one recently discovered benefit is that coconut oil can help treat symptoms of hypothyroidism, or an under-active thyroid. Hypothyroidism occurs when the body’s thyroid gland does not make enough hormones to allow the body to function appropriately.

Coconut oil contains a fatty acid called lauric acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Coconut oil also contains capric acid, which has antimicrobial and antiviral properties. It is recommended that you use extra virgin coconut oil for the best health benefits. One tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil should be consumed daily. It can be added to hot beverages, such as tea or coffee, and added to daily cooking, drizzled over a salad or added to a smoothie.

Today’s video will discuss health issues that coconut oil can help treat.

1. Metabolism

When the body’s thyroid is under-active, it can cause the body to feel fatigued and without energy. The fatty acids in coconut oil help the fats in the body convert to energy. This, in turn, boosts the body’s metabolic rate.

2. Weight Loss

One of the most major symptoms of an under-active thyroid is unexplained weight gain. The weight is very hard to lose and the thyroid hormones directly slow down the body’s metabolism. The Journal of Nutrition published a study that showed the fatty acids in coconut oil help to keep the body feeling fuller, longer. Thus, assisting the body in shedding excess weight.

3. Constipation

When hormones from the thyroid are low, the body’s organs run slower as well, causing the digestive tract and intestines to lag. The fatty acids in coconut oil provide the body with energy and boost organ function. Coconut oil also works as a natural laxative and is effective in fighting constipation.

4. Inflammation

An under-active thyroid causes muscle and joint pain, largely from unbalanced hormone levels. Coconut oil can naturally calm any inflammation and relieve any pain.

5. Hair Loss

The thyroid can affect the health of your hair and may even cause it to begin to fall out. However, adding coconut oil to your regime will prevent this from occurring and repair hair follicles.

6. Dry Skin

The imbalance of hormones caused by an under-active thyroid can cause the body’s skin to become dry and flaky. Coconut oil can be added directly to the affected skin to restore its moisture and healthy skin.

The standard American diet is making everyone sick. GMO Soy, grains, especially wheat, and cheap chicken are not for human consumption but pushed heavily by your government and food industry.

There is nothing UNEXPLAINED about weight gain when it comes to an under-active thyroid. Thyroid hormones play huge role in metabolism, speeding the processes, under-active thyroid => less thyroid hormones => slower metabolism => more stored fat => weight gain. Easy as that. People should stop making a rocket science out of everything.

I had a very stressful February with my son's two suicide attempts. Come March I was combing my hair and found a bald spot right on the top of my head. I immediately got my unrefined cold pressed virgin coconut oil made by simple nature and applied some to the bald spot and here we are today and hair is growing back..

My Synthroid I take for hypothyroid make me a nervous wreck. Ever since I got off my antidepressant Nardil 3 1/2 years ago, I had to get on BP meds and tranquilizer. I was fine when I was on Nardil with Synthroid, I should have never gotten off Nardil. I had to start eating very very low sodium diet cuz I developed dizzies and balance problems since I got off Nardil. I was on Nardil 28 years for panic attacks/agoraphobia/anxiety. I was so scared of my BP that I went on vegetarian diet and went from 214 lbs to 147. Now am 170 lbs eating too much at diner. My fault. Anyway, Synthroid causes me high anxiety I don't go out much anymore. I tried once coconut oil, my friend put some in my spinach, looked like a lot, made me more dizzy and nervous, I didn't have it since. Maybe it's truly healing the thyroid where it's making my Synthroid feel like I am taking too much even tho my TSH is high and T3 and T4 always normal. I want to try coconut oil again but am scared.
