Porcelain Tooth Crowns, Cosmetic Dentistry, My New Smile, And The Dentist’s Chair

I got a new smile! I needed to have some dental work done and in the process of talking about what needed done we determined it made the most sense to go canine to canine and get my primary smile teeth perfect. This fixes some crooked teeth, and gaps that I had that occurred after my wisdom teeth came in. It also fixed a few speckles that I had from where the adhesive for my brace permanently lightened my teeth.

This was not near as painful as I expected. The shots of Novocaine / local anesthetic hurts obviously but overall I would say this was not as bad as some of the vaccines I have gotten in terms of discomfort.

Why don’t people admit the truth about crowns after getting them!! I think they have a problem admitting they made a huge mistake!! I certainly did!! I had all my good strong teeth paired down for crowns just because I wanted whiter teeth!! Biggest mistake I’ve ever made!! I don’t have the same sensation in my mouth! Food is not the same because of chewing!! YES I have the perfect bite BUT! Chewing is completely different from just the bite!! It is as important to chew as it ya to have a perfect bite and because we chew according to our natural mouth and jaw structure, if crowns are aligned to make that perfect bite it means they have to either shorten or lengthen the teeth and now wen you chew it is totally different!! I have all zirconium costing 25k so I paid dearly and in Europe’s top Dental clinic!! If you can help it don’t do it!! I doubt if I’ll ever enjoy my food again!!! I know we taste good between the toungue and palet but teeth play a huge role due to the sensation!!! The only way I can describe it is it’s like as if I have plastic covering my teeth and I’m feeling a plastic sensation over my teeth while eating!! Not nice!!!

Do you know what shade they used for your crowns. I'm also getting 6 and worry about they shade they think I should go with. I'm hoping they look as white as yours.

If you had braces you should have been able to get by with just veneers.

hi, no offense but i believe your front 4 teeth are just a bit large, your dentist can file them down a milimeter or so… i had it done on my old horse teeth now my smile is more natural 🙂

I had a small gap by a crowned tooth.  My orthodontist suggested to crown a perfectly fine tooth to fill the gap.  It really bugs me.  Why the hell didn't they just replace the existing crown with a bigger crown?

I had 2 front crowns put in a year ago and I have still not got used to them. They feel bulky and stick out. They definitely protrude more than my old teeth and have made me feel really self conscious. I've checked online and many people have the same issue. I went back several times to my dentist and he shaved them down but it didn't help much. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and he said that the only thing he could do would be to re-do them which would be very costly to me and couldn't guarantee if I would be any happier with them. I would seriously not recommend you get crowns put in at the front unless you have absolutely no other choice.

I just had this done and, not only was it horrifying, but I'm in an immense amount of paint. But, hey, my teeth look great again.

I actually have 12 veneers. It changed my life. I had Invisalign as a kid for a gap in my front teeth and my dentist never told me that I have to take them out often to brush and told me I could eat whatever I wanted to with them in. So they slowly rotted my teeth as I drank soda, etc. I stopped and I often brushed my teeth, drank only water, etc. after your enamel is gone and you have that much staining, you can't go back. My mouth hurt and I never smiled. My parents got me 12 veneers, 6 on top, 6 on bottom. My teeth no longer match but I am looking into getting them whitened through treatment or fixed. My dentist is wonderful, actually in the "ghetto" of my city, we got an amazing discount. Yes, the cost may be high but you will never regret it.

In Tampa FL, 9 teeth completed in front $10k other dentist wanted $20k. Bottoms done next, another 8-10k depending on when gold is required since  I am a grinder.
crowns here vary in price from 600 to 1200 depending on build up, type pf material used.  I need a night guard. One dentist quoted 899 the other 475. This is cash or care credit  financed w/o insurance since  I learned the insurance co make the dentist raise their proce 25% when insurance is used, nice hugh? Maybe some legislation needed here ?

What about the bottom teeth? They show when you speak or smile. They are also a different color compared to the new teeth. Are you planning on getting them done or whitened?

Oh dude, your teeth are too big. My father is grandfather are both Dentists specializing in cosmetic dentistry. I am also a dental student. I saw your video so I showed them both your new teeth. They both agreed that the size of the implants are way to big. Size like that can even affect your speech. You need to go back and have them reshaped.
